Chicago Flood- my scooter drowns

Hi All,
Remember me?
Guy who rides 365?
Perhaps I grew too confident.
I thought my Blur could swim.

I was wrong!

Check out my vid.
I'll post the one from my helmet cam later.
I fell into a hole after my Blur stalled.

Good on you for a positive mental attitude! But, damn, even I left the scoot in the garage yesterday. That viaduct might even have been too deep for my DR650 to cross......

there are 3 reasons why I don't ride when it rain,

1) idiots, they flourish with rain!!
2) HOLES! they reproduce like gremlins and the worst ones are cover in water, dark water! so you only discover them when your 10" wheals have been eating by them!!!

good thing you are cool about it!!

That's what you get for forgetting to inflate your pontoons.

You all are the best. Swiming Scooter

Well... I took out the filter (let it dry overnight), checked the spark plug, kept it on a battery charger overnight. Today... I put it back together and... It WORKS!!!

My Blur is running! I could swear I heard it cough out the word "IDIOT" as it turned over.

I stopped at the same viaduct to look where I had fallen. Yep. open manhole. It was about 18-24" deep, plus the above sea level water. I fell in about 36" of water. YUCK.

Fortunately I didn't injure myself.

I'll post the video from my helmet cam later today.

Thanks for posting video

Full metal,
Thanks for posting the video. I forget how to do it.
My next video is uploading now. It will have the footage of me flooding my scooter and falling into an open manhole.
