Do any of you guys have mechanics that wrench on your bikes? I am not really all that mechanically inclined beyond oil changes and part swaps. I used to take my bike to a shop called Motomethod in Vancouver for anything intricate or major.

Any recommendations?
Anyone mention Richmond Motorsports yet?

I had the day off today, so I decided to swing over to California Rd, and check out the hydro lines. Hydro guys were working, so I only went so far.I also went down a road called "New Rd?", passed a down tree that was cut to allow passage, but started to hit some snow, so i stopped. I didn't want to go to far on my own. I figured I would test out the GoPro, but my SD card wasn't big enough to handle the video, even at a reduced res.

I didn't go any further as there were hydro guys working on the other side.

You sure it's not the speed of the card that's the problem? You should have a Class 10 card in there for reliable operation.

You may be right! I have to buy a decent one anyway, so I will make sure it is a 10. Thx!

Edit:

I was able to pull some video off, but kinda choppy.

Is that water crossing on the hydro line near cali Rd? If so how deep was the water? Doesn't look that deep in the picture...

Ya, that is where it is, just as you are coming down the hill. There was a Hydro truck parked just before the crossing. It wasn't that deep, maybe a foot or so. I would have attempted it if there wasn't work going on.

Wow!

Definitely not that high. It was flowing though.

Either the beaver hasn't built his dam yet, or maybe the hydro workers cleared it out.

Nothing else to do. Just call the resort and sign up for a site / room and you're in. My wife is coming down Sat afternoon to join us for the evening. (added her for the one night and another ticket for the dinner).
I'll be leaving my shop on Laperierre Ave around 1200, Fri afternoon if anyone wants to meet there or somewhere along the way.

While the level was much lower, that left side (right from my view) seemed less stable. The water was flowing freely, so I guess the Dam was broken.

On another note, I swung by the Tatlock Quarry lookout only to find the gate was locked and large Quartz stones behind the gate. Is this a new development? My wife and I were there last year to pick up some of the free gravel they drop.
