getting connectors out of the ecu plug

Has anyone had luck getting the female connectors out of the ecu plug without damaging them so it can be used again? Do I need a certain tool to get them out?

Thanks

Please disregard. Pulling hard and steady worked really well.

use a very fine dental pick or large sewing needle to push on & release the small bent tabs that hold it the connector in the plastic housing

you'll need to bend those tabs back out when you reinstall them, otherwise when you push the plugs back together there is a good chance you won't get full penetration (heh heh) & lasting connections between the connectors, in some cases the connector(s) will just get pushed back enough so it looks fine but isn't making a connection- or will come loose down the road.
