see him before he's done because the likes of him won't be seen again for a very long time.

To late for that. He will be lucky to make half the outdoor season. He is to fragile now with the injures he has had.

Why is it he is so good but he gets spanked every weekend by RV, RD, DM and a host of others? Stick a fork in him.

there are reason's why he was and anyone who's never seen him ride would do well to do so. when he "returned" to Unadilla in 2011 and finished 3rd in moto one and they packed it in early in moto 2 he was rusty or whatever you want to call it but he still did the most amazing thing I've ever seen done on a motorcycle in the short span of about 75 yards and no he didn't crash. when you can carry those kinds of corner speeds it makes what follows a whole different world, in his case Bubba's world pun intended. lines are open that mortals can't even comprehend and that includes most of the current pro's. see him before he's done because the likes of him won't be seen again for a very long time.

Yep, he was the only one ever to keep RC4 in sight for a while so we could have a measure of how fast and smooth the GOAT actually was.

If we retired every rider that this thread is so critical of, the grid would be empty.

Stewart is still capable of laying down fast laps week in and week out. He still won a race and won almost all of his heat races and has an additional 2 podiums this season.

Most riders in SX would like to be a "done" as James is.

Well said my man! The internet haters have to spout off regardless of one's past accomplishments.
Someone asked me who is my favorite rider. I told them I don't have one. I love the sport (as does my wife, she's a convert).
My hat is off to any of these guys who can make a heat race, LCQ included.
Thanks to the riders, past and present, for the entertainment!

If you watch sx every week there are two things you are more then likely to see.

1. #7 will be really fast then make some stupid mistake or turn into a lawn dart.

2. #800 will get the hole shot then half way through the race the top five will lap him.

Say what you want about Stewart, but one thing he does not do is brag.

He is far from washed up.

Even though Stewart is still one of the fastest on the track until he augers in, he is but a shadow of his former self. That is what brings criticism on him, he had the potential to set new standards but instead he made lots of money for a few years and that brought him down as it does so many.

And the "fastest man on the planet" monicker, that is an invention of our favorite TV commentator, Ralph Sheheen.

We saw him on a 2 stroke at Unadilla.
There were still quite a few 2 strokes in that class at the time and he was the only one on a 125 who didn't struggle riding up "The Wall".

I've seen him a few times since and I'd have to agree with Flug, he's an amazing talent.

Got to agree, I've seen him do things on a motorcycle that I've never seen anyone else do!
