Hmmm.... As a Noob to both the forum and my Ural.... I dont resemble that remark!! Got just over 1300Km... In 11 days. The 90 or so Km to work every day helps. Im guessing at 15k km by September.

Welcome to the Soviet Insane Asylum! Feel free to drop by some time. I am planning a Ural camp-out at the shop this summer. Join us for some liver damage, tears of laughter and trails that will make you hate me
Goffstown, NH - BTW, Welcome to ADV and especially to the world of URAL

I'll be taking you up on that offer. Much rather Manchester than Boxboro to get service..... considering it may be twice a month in some cases. And ive been looking to get it in the woods. Whats the point of 2wd? And thanks for the welcome!

You'll find out when you need it. The rest of the time the point is moot.

I've only used my 2WD twice since I been here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Tried a climb in one wheel drive and was spinning in the wet dirt, two wheel drive took me right up. However I didn't need to go up there anyway so nothing would have been lost without two wheel drive.

So that makes three times 2WD has been engaged in my four months of ownership. Probably not worth it in my case.
