I've been too busy contemplating riding

KTM is strewn all cross my garage while I clean/replace minor parts, TT forks are apart since the fork seals were as good as $0.01 condom, and XR is in dormant mode as I try and pedal it.

Sad times in my land.

Thumb Finally bought another bike

Hi All,

I am not new to Tallahassee or riding, but it has been 2 or 3 years since I have owned a motorcycle. My few postings here have been as a spectator, but I'll change that.

My "new to me" bike is a 2003 DR650. I'd always had KTM's, but the last one tried to kill me. Long story, but I still owe Treeman for driving me back to Florida.

I can get a kitchen pass pretty much when I want, so my weekends are open. I look forward to meeting you FFs.

Chuck

Got an 02 EXC400. Not as technically savvy as the 500, but perfect size for me. Upgrading a lot of little things; redid the crankcase breather setup, put radiators off an 05 on, catch bottle, put new fork seals in, and just a lot of cleaning. Magnesium case had a few bad spots of paint, so stripped that off the clutch and ignition cover. Hoping to put it back together before the weekend; nice weather is going fast!

Hope to make it over one more time before heat of summer kicks in. After that, I'm a road-lover until probably sometime in September. Then again, road bike is going bye-bye too. Suppose I need one of them KLR things
