In looking at this, I got a smile thinking I was disappointed Ant "only" managed 7th in the race. How times have changed. For the better.
Thanks for the link.

Let me see, 200 for a ticket. No coolers. 4bucks a water. 9 bucks a beer. 65$ to park a car. 250$ a room. Don't think next yr will be so crowded

Put it that way and it looks cheap compared to two or three regualr season NBA or NFL games. And I wouldn't have to drink nearly as much to enjoy the event.

You must not have [like me] carried in 3 bottles of water per day, save the beer thirty for beer thirty[not at the track], slummed in a cheaper motel on north I-35 [$79.99] per night. G.A. ticket . Sat in the Grandstands anyway.Turn 15.
Rode my 900 Monster in and past the [un-radio equiped parking people] and parked in the Honda lot all three days for free.
This year , by next they may have their ducks in a row.
I'll come back if possible. I had fun.

I flew up to the Austin MOTOGP and met my Seattle amigos, we stayed in North Austin, rented a van, split it five ways and carried our own water into the track, it was no more expensive than any other track. The city was friendly and the BBQ was great, we couldn't have asked for more and will be back next year.

It is a very complicated situation.
Sell the street bikes with TC and get rid of it in all forms of motorcycle racing...Who cares if it slows down the lap times if it makes for better racing. Nobody wants to see someone gap the field by 3+ seconds and the best fight of the race is between Espagaro and the slowest Ducati rider.

KR lapped the field at the 200 without TC, Fast Freddy cruised to many victory's without TC, Doohan had to slow down to make it not loo easy without TC, Ago, and Hailwood also pulled away from the field without TC. TC is not the problem it's the factories not keeping up with each other and the Aliens of each generation using whatever they are given to show their superiority.

If it had been Rossi destroying the field, everyone would be singing a different tune.

After Qatar, every one was crowing about this would be the "best season ever."

COTA was an anomaly. It will be much closer next year now that all know the track.

Marquez will still win.

Welcome to racing 101; some weeks certain teams or just one rider get everything right and they win. Other times, several get it just about right and you get fireworks.

If Rossi wins, it doesn't matter by how much. Autoerotica.

You make it sound like Rossi got his fan base for no reason at all. While some fans may be so Rossicentric that when he retires, motogp will lose them as fans. He also brought in people to watch who may never have become interested , and who will stay on to view after he retires.

Agreed though about COTA being an anomaly this year. MM was gonna win one soon, one of many. It just happened to be COTA. Next year will be closer.

I am just saying nobody moans when Rossi wins.

I think a lot of the moaning about the results at COTA are because Rossi wasn't close to the podium. No more, no less.

I cant speak for others but i do not care who is destroying the field i would enjoy watching close racing. I like Mark Marquez and compared to the previous Repsol rider i believe he is an improvement but i do like to see close racing between the title contenders.

I also understand that some tracks are honda tracks some tracks are yamaha tracks and gravel traps are Ducati cup of tea but i believe that losing TC would make for a more exciting Moto GP experience.

Close racing where rider skill can make a difference between places 1-7. That's what I want. Processional racing is dull as dirt no matter who is leading the parade. I still have hope for the season.
