Blooming Arizona desert

I took the 200 out for a spin off highway 74 and castle hot springs road Tues morning before work, a little over 40 miles total, maybe 6 in sand wash and 2-3 jeep trail, the rest all really fun b level single track. The flowers were out in force, as well as the wild burros, rabbits, and lizards.

I ran into this sign early on. *Wasn't there a couple weeks ago, and not sure it's legit. Looked pretty beat up for a new sign.

So I bypassed that small section of trail. *Anyone know who to contact to see if the sign is legit? *Its right off of castle hot springs road, and much of the area behind it is filled with named roads/trails, and mining access.

Some scenery:
A couple burros

One of several mine shafts in various states of neglect

Blooming ocotillo

The beast and my cactus kickstand.

Lots of flowers

A bunch of these KTM orange flowers were on a tough off camber side hill section, so this is the only picture I got, balancing precariously on the edge of the trail.

Great pictures! I know that area well I have never seen the burros out like that though. Very nice.

Burros

I actually see burros out there quite often. They don't spend a lot of energy, stay just far enough away and watch you like a hawk. I went horseback riding out there once a saw some running. They can move across that desert like greyhounds when they want to.
