HD Zumo 550 question

I have found a good deal on a Harley Road Tech Zumo 550. Won't this be the same as all other Zumo 550s except for the preloaded Harley dealers? Price is like $350.00 Thank for any help. I currently use 60csx. T

If you are currently using a GPSMAP 60CSx why would you want another discontinued GPS with lesser capability? If I were going to spend significant dollars to "upgrade" my GPS, I would first be looking at the current models and the features and functions available based on my priorities.

Then, I'd be looking at which model(s) gave me the most for the money I wanted to spend.

Exactly

That is exactly what I thought YESTERDAY! I was just seeing $$ signs being saved is why I looked at 550. I agree, newer technology would rock.

Yes, newer technology would rock, but is it useful technology for what you want to use it for ?

The 550 is still a good GPS. Discontinued in the form of no new firmware. If it breaks Garmin will still fix it ($150), new maps will still load on it.

Downsides: no Blue Toothed stereo music, OK so I used my phone for a MP3 library, no 3D maps, no speed limit advisories.
$350 is a good deal, especially if it comes with the cradle and other accessories.

Upsides: good screen size, easily assessable SD card and USB port (over the 66X series)

If you need a open road GPS go with the Zumo. IMHO

Zumo 550

The most valuable feature on my Zumo 550 to me is the waterproof XM radio. I would like to know what other GPS has that feature besides the new 665 ? Anybody know ? I like the Zumo. The $350 price is good, You would need a $100 antenna for the XM. Plus all the mounting pieces like someone already mentioned. Does anyone think the 665 is worth the price difference? Should the OP wait and get the 665 or do you have other models to advise him on ? Good luck with it, there are so many options to consider.
