Dinner tactical lace up with side zipper. Tie 'em once and then just zip. They are waterproof which I insured with silicone. As light as tennis shoes, comfortable all day and don't look bad if kept shined. Best boots I've ever worn. Wear them hiking as we'll as riding.

Been lusting for Alpinestar Soho Gore-Tex boots. Don't have them, so can't say how comfy they are. They do look good though.

Riding a Cruiser and want casual look? I'd go with the Canyons. Have a pair and like them. Also have the adventures, great boot, but little overkill for everyday use, and not great for walking in.

Gaerne Balance Oiled. When I got them, I took them out of the box, put them on, and wore them 11 days straight on a road trip. I commute in them and wear them all day at work.

Sent from my iPad, probably while I'm pooping.

Balanced oiled

Not to beat a dead horse...but I too like the Gaerne oiled. They fit & look better than I thought they would hidden under your jeans too. Most comfortable boot I've ever had and while not a MX BOOT protection wise...still pretty good IMHO.
