My redbone coonhound mix on his second foray in the sidecar. First ride last weekend. Just a little toodle around the neighborhood. He's a natural, and quite a ham, too. If he could wave like the Queen of England I'm sure he would.

MotoJ,

Put that pup in the sidecar and come to the Baltimore RTE! We're going for barbeque soon! Check the link in the sig.

Slowly getting my dog acclimated

Clarence is afraid, took a few tries to get him next to, much less into into the car. Next I will try to overcome his fear of the noise. Baby steps.

Keep at it, just go gently. My dog Monty (see a few posts above) didnt like it at first, we took him for short runs, only a mile or so, parked up, took him for a walk, so he associated the rig with good things. We have only had the Ural a month, now Monty actually gets in on his own, and seems to want to come out riding. Just waiting for warmer weather, the thing he really doesnt like is wearing his coat!

Yep, having a fun destination like the dog park makes them super eager to ride.

On that note how do Giant Schnauzers like the raucous Labs at the dog parks do they jump right in and mix it up ? Or are they repressed dignified Germans.DB

We went past the Trapp Family Lodge today and one of their Scottish Highlander cattle was out. If you look closely you can see Barley with his nose pressing against the windshield. He wanted a piece of beef!

Bryson is not interested in Labs. If its a Boxer or a Pit Bull, he wants to wrestle it. If its a Standard Poodle, he wants to hump it. Everything else he just leaves alone.

We were out about an hour yesterday, her longest ride so far.

Speaking of Giant Schnauzers and Poodles, I dropped into DMC Sidecars the other day and spied a copy of "The Sidecarist" magazine on the table in the waiting room. To my surprise, there was me and Kirby (Giant Schnoodle) on the back cover!

I remembered that I had sent that pic to Joyce but then forgot all about it. Jay was nice enough to let me take the issue home with me for my collection of Kirby memorabilia.
