I'm not sure where that commander came from. I guess I'll have to check it out.
I was dead tired when I posted that and went to bed right after. Now that I think about it, I must have been playing the commander since I ran the Patton on Friday night (and lost 15000 silver).

Seemed to take forever to get wins over the last couple days, but once I did they were epic.

Sam thanks for the tutorial on the new map. With that knowlege and a fairly well kitted out 4502p(a) an Indien Panzer and I mopped up. I hid from afar and launched HE at the heavies battling it out on the south end village, I think I lit 4 of them on fire. He went to cap, I gaurded the base and we still had an arty alive at the end.

Played the new map three times this weekend. I was fortunately on a winning team each time. I like it. Certainly different. I also like the 8.5 update. I think that they did a great job smoothing out the graphics. Barrels and such look more distinct without the pixels causing boxy edges.

A headsup for those who didn't notice:
The gold consumables are now available for 20K silver each.

If you go to purchase them in tank they look like they default to 50 gold (although they then come up with the silver drop down once they are in the tank).
Or you can buy them in store.

Is the automatic fire extinguisher consumed on every battle?

I assume they will get a 50% off sale eventually. If one extinguisher lasts >10 battles, and also decreases chance of fire by 10% ... that might be a good investment.

This is also a stealth light tank nerf. High rof and low damage per shell makes fire damage a larger proportion of overall damage for a LT vs any other vehicle.

I bought a few of each....the first aid I think does work....what I do is I will put one on a tank as well as a small kit, use the small kit if I want and just save the large kit.

Auto extinguishers sit there until you light on fire, then they go off, consuming them and requiring resupply after battle. If you go 10 battles without catching on fire, it doesn't get used. If you light up every battle, it gets expensive fast.

The only difference between in and a manual, is that a manual you have to assign a key and think about hitting it mid-battle instead of focusing on killing the other guy while the gear does its work.

Not true. -10% chance of fire if you have the auto extinguisher in the tank.

That means a engine with 20% chance of fire without, 18% chance of fire with.

Welcome! Though I haven't run it, I think most people suggest the KV-1 and then the KV-1S. I'll add you to my friend's list and we'll have to try platooning.

Always nice to see real math applied.

Some tanks just light up more than others, too. maybe even that is dependant on patches though.

For a while there it seemed as though all I needed was a Super Pershing to turn its side to me and I'd light it afire. Haven't done it for a while now.

Get two good fires in a game (on top of normal playing) and you'll most likely end up with a tank Mastery Ace Tanker badge (if you didn't already have one) I've found.

I signed the little guy up so he could have his own account. He was playing this weekend and a little while later he asks How can my tank be dead and still have 1/2 it's life left?

Ahhhhh. Both crew members died.

He was also the one who ran my PzIV and got Raider. Never saw another tank, drove to base and capped it by himeself.
