... the XR is the greatest off road motorcycle ever constructed. There's nothing it can't do, hasn't won or will not outperform.

What sort of fuel range are you fellas looking at on this one. What's the longest fuel stretch in km? roughly

The TTR looks good in desert trim, but i'd be doing something with the sharp edges on the rack Will. It's not out of the question to have it bearing down on your winded self after a trip over the bars, especially on the simpson leg lol. Looks like it could cut you quite badly is what I was thinking.

I'm getting jealous. What day are you leaving Birdsville?

I agree smithy, pretty rushed build.A lot of mates helped out with bits and pieces, the rack one,i am very grateful for this.It does have rubber trim on the edges or did have
Did have a bread board i was gunna use but this missus had bread on it so the rack has to do.

Two Green desert weapons packed and ready to go!

My bike is now sporting 40 litres of fuel on board, 18 up front, 12 in the rear alloy tank and 10 in the alloy tank under the frame. At 15 klms per litre I should get 600 klms range. Leaving tomorrow morning then calling into Denman to pick up Quirky.
Cheers Fogo

All these bikes are far to clean.
Spose I'll have to hose mine off now.
