Lets meet at the Husky/macs at the corner of Quigley Dr and Westside Dr in Cochrane. At the intersection before the original meeting location of Tim Hortons. If anyone was headed to Tim Hortons they would see us.

I sent out a few invites so don't want to alter the meetup location drastically.

Next time I'll pick a gas station to meet where riders can purchase gas.

Lycan1, I look forward to seeing some fun roads from Sundre to Calgary.
See you there!

To add embarrassment to my frustration, on my way home I was stopped at a traffic light in High River and got blown over! I'm not sure if the car drivers were offering me support or pitying me as I picked up my bike.

I won't be riding in those kinds of winds again.

Have fun on your ride. I hope to join you when our schedules coincide.

It was very windy yesterday. Must have been worst on the highway with nothing to slow it down. Were you inured? I guess if you are going to get blown off the road what better bike then the DRZ400. But then again maybe a big heavey bike would have resisted being blown around.

Hope everyone has a good ride today. My to do list was a little long to get out and enjoy the wind...

Does anyone know where to buy a decent - yet inexpensive - blind bearing puller in Calgary? My wheel bearings are proving to be quite stubborn.

Thanks

If the hammer and (tool of your choice) isn't taking it out I think princess auto sells a cheaper unit.

Good group yesterday. Nice to meet some new faces, and some familiar ones to. It was a bit on the cool side to start, but turned out just about right. Some of us managed to find enough mud for a bit of fun. That modified 530EXC looked like a lot of fun!

That was the extent of my pictures for the day. Hope you all had fun.

Lycan, saw you ripping down Crowchild yesterday around 5, looks like you guys made it back in a decent time, wished I had made it, but I'm sure it was a bit gusty.

Lycan - I also saw you yesterday south on Deerfoot in Douglasdale. I was on my red Multistrada and waved. Me and my buddy Mr Canoehead got out to Canmore via 1A for a nice ride. Finally riding season has started! DD

I told them I was working on the DR, so I couldn't go! Now the cat is out of the bag - I went riding on the GSA instead of working on the DR.

Here is a short set of clips from yesterday, editing isn't perfect but wanted to post it. Thanks for organizing the "hooligan ride" Floss!

Yes that was us. I was one of the 3 that went by. We were all in a hurry to get home otherwise we would have stopped to chat. Hope you enjoyed your ride.

Thanks to Floss for organizing and for everyone else that showed up. It was a fun ride and good to meet some new faces in Calgary.

The 530 is definitely a fun bike. It is perfect for ripping along those trails that were running parallel to the FSR. I was bottoming out the back end though on a few of the bigger bumps and ditches. I will have to stop and adjust the compression damping next time out. It is the perfect setup now for me after getting it lowered a bit. It can handle the trails fine and can cruise all day at 100 to 120km/h as long as my rear end can take it!

Cheers

I was in the lead on my f650 coming into Watervalley from the west and where it slows to 80 and then quickly to 60 , I was still at about 90 or 100 and a white unmarked pickup going east turned on his flashing lights I thought oh,oh but low and behold he was just sending me a message as he never turned around and gave chase.
I then slowed down and did the speed limit all the way home.

It was a great day!
