Klim F4 or Shoei VFX-W

Considering these helmets. Searching didn't turn up much.

Planning to use this on a WR250R and I have street bikes/helmets so looking for a 90+% dirt helmet for TAT, etc. From what I can find, both are excellent helmets, but many people rave about the venting of the F4. Is the venting really that much better than the VFX-W?

Anyone used/tried both and can provide some insights? Thanks.

I was considering the Klim F4... between that, an Arai VX Pro 3, and the Shoei VFX-W.

I don't have a comment on the venting, but I found out that the Klim is made in China. No brainer for me... it's been cut from the running. Arai and Shoei are both hand-made in Japan.

KLIM F4 Experience

I havent used the Arai but I do use the Klim F4 out here in Cambodia where it gets hot and humid. Over the last couple of days I was riding in 38C+ (100F+) temps with high humidity and the helmet works great.

My other helmet is a Shoe Neutec and as soon as I stop the bike I am ripping that off ( and at much lower temperatures) as my head is so hot, and that gets rated as well venting helmet. With the Klim the helmet is now the last thing I take off and I am happy to walk around with it on. Of course there is still some heat build up when stationary but it is minimal. The only downside to all the venting is the increased wind noise over the Neutec but a pair of ear plugs sorts that out.

I really like the F4 and would highly recommend it (also look at the Airoh aviator)

I ordered the F4 and the shape was too round for my long oval head. Ended up with the VXF-W. Other than the shape the F4 was a winner.

Thanks for the input. I picked up the VFX-W in white because it fits my head well and it's a very high quality helmet. The Klim F4 was very good, but the VFX-W just seemed a touch better.
