I would be willing to bet it's ok. I use it in my 2010 and am happy with the results. Did it while doing the valve adjustment and flushed the system real well. Works for me.

I run Engine Ice in my 990 as well. Best coolant out there.

I've always used name brand antifreeze with Redline Water Wetter added. Now that I see Engine Ice is rated for temps down to -25f, I'll have to give it a try.

The orange does grow on you. You will not notice it at first..but it starts with a few innocent KTM stickers,.progresses to a KTM key ring, to KTM coffee mug and next thing you know, you have gone completely mad and start wearing orange tee shirts. It is a very bad infection..is this yeast infection (Bronx)

Another vote for Engine Ice. I've used it in everything I've owned except my air cooled jug heads for 10 years. Pre-mix, no guessing, just pour in and go. Added benefit is that it's ethanol based, not glycol and it's easier on aluminum parts (ie. your rad will like it more). It's a bit pricier, but only marginally.

Never had it go purple though... Maybe it's a result of a bit of the green stuff left in on the change over? Could have mixed together and caused it. It's not critical if it did. Important part is that it HAS coolant and the coolant is still doing it's job,

My 0.02

Ok, just checked. It isn't purple but the bluish color that it was from the get go. Perhaps flushing the system better would be in need if it's purple, only a guess.

I was going to switch to Engine Ice based on all the good reviews, but every bottle I saw on the shelf had sediment on the bottom. Gave me a cold prickly.....

I asked about it here .....and eventually stayed with Honda premix.
