you sir may ride with me. you have the makings to be adventurous! i did however find that getting hung up on these tiny little root and logs irksome. so i upgraded to a motorcycle with more ground clearance. it was much easier than developing technique! i believe this was part of the BBA 2011 (hero section). the motto of that friday night was "well, maybe one more...".

it's just not the trees you gotta watch out for around MA either...the rocks and "ledges" can get big!

Found my own hero section on Saturday.

Step 1 Get hung up on skid plate between two large mud puddles.

Step 2 Tip it on its side so I could drag it over to solid ground.

Step 3 Was amazing. I'll tell you all about it over a beer some time

Gee I hope you didn't buy an adventure bike to keep it clean?

I broke a hard bag off an F650GS pre-riding that. Didn't crash, didn't stop, just banged the bag and kept going. But later found the bag was flopping with some broken off mounts.

Awww!

When Rusty, Madriver & I did OFR together, I had a much better time of it on an XT-225 than Madriver had on a DR650.

And how about the Long Water, can we use that again?

not this time because there's no going around it. The police sgt who is also in the f.d. and will be at the start and "other places" said we shouldn't use it.

You know I don't go around it.

I only drowned a bike there once, the water was unusually high that day. Remember? I was on a GasGas 2-stroke.

Camping at the event site is in a big field. There will be a lot of bikes and vehicles coming and going as people arrive to register and set up their camp sites. I don't see why kids can't come and enjoy. But it is on you to watch them and keep them safe.
