Humbled

Rode with Joe and Dave on Sunday. Dave kicked our asses... again.
It was much easier to follow him than to try and hold him off.
I thought all the work I did on the trails this spring would help me get in shape. It just gave me a backache and tendonitis in my elbows. At the end of the day I couldn't pull in the clutch and Dave thought he blew his tranny. (Blew his tranny) Dave didn't blow anything it was just a worn front sprocket.
I'm still sore today. It's official - I'm old

Its ok to get old, if you want to feel your age a few of us are heading out Sunday 9am for some slow technical singletrack with a few high speed rock strewn 4 wheeler trails in for rest sections

That will be a reoccurring theme, get used to it. I didn't know he had a tranny of his own, I figured he just grabbed a random one off of street.

If you feel that old you could always sell the dirt bikes. Get a GS, get the whale foreskin riding suit and all that other crap and ride up to the starbucks in saratoga and pose with it. You'll be badass.

I'm older than you and just had surgery. I want to go over to Old Florida rd on Sun. It's an easy kind of ride. Up for it? How's that XR600?

Jim, I'd like to come up but I'm not ready for that yet. The doctor said I have a bunch of holes in my arm where the screws used to be and I should take it easy for a while.

OTOH, it's the only bike I have that is capable of keeping up with you on yours.

Look at this and tell me how it's different from yours (besides that it's missing a bunch of parts).

looks like it's almost done just needs a few things bolted on.

you are correct when piloted by you it is one of the few combinations capable of keeping up.

Looks like it may be a while before that's going to happen again. If you look closely at the frame you can see there are no center stand mounts. It's a sumo frame. KTM stamped my VIN on the wrong frame and sent it out. The SE frame is on backorder.

A pile of parts isn't nearly as much fun as the whole bike put together. Luckily I can always rely on my Honda's to cart me around. I'm thinking of going up your way in a couple of weeks. If you don't mind waiting up a little we can go for a ride.

Correct! It's the only KTM I even considered owning and look where that got me.

loph, heads up! If you see this in the hood just keep on going (unless it's your new rig then good luck with that).

Going riding at a little track with some jumps for the boy.

Then hang out here.

Great ride today! Found some new places and the weather was perfect. Had some unexpected excitement with a flat tire, lost license plate, and a uncharted trip between MA and VT, but we both made it back.

Put over 100 miles on the XR. Ran Great but the seat hurts after a while.

We meet Ryan's father on the trail.
