I am iffy for Sunday, but still hoping. I have to take a run to Toronto this weekend sometime, not sure when.

I got a Performance Award last night from the sheriff in Avon coming home from work. It was pretty BS, though technically I was wrong. I was on 15 heading south from Avon and the speed changes from 40 to 55. I was 50 yards from the 55 sign and sped up to 56, slightly before the sign. The sheriff was behind the sign and lit up the neighborhood. He reduced it to 53 in a 40, probably be reduced more at the DA. First time for a ticket in the Mustang and not even a real speeding story. I have been very careful, no tickets in 7 years.

The kicker is my Dad got the very same ticket, 53 in a 40 last night also. His was on 20 heading to Bronson Hill. We think it was the same cop too. Just about five hours apart.

Hey guys,

My wife and I are planning a road trip on the street bikes coming up in a couple of weeks before the Memorial Day weekend. I would like to ride through the Adirondacks (never been, yet) and would like to see if there are some scenic/twisty mountain roads to ride. We'll be on sport tourers. It looks like 28/28N and 30 are some pretty good roads... would like to get to Lake Placid, unless there's really nothing there to see anymore? Lake Saranac and Tupper Lake looks good on Google maps...

Any advice would be appreciated! My start and end point for that day's riding is tentatively from Plattsburgh, Vt and Lake George.

Thanks, guys.

Take the ferry from Burlington to Port Kent..9N to 73 is a nice ride to Lake Placid(stop and check out the Ausable Chasm.)

Lake Placid is still a cool place.
As far as twisties,VT has better,IMHO,but the 'dacs are still worth checking out.

I also didn't care for Lake George.

Muir house for me as I am planning to ride [early am] to the herkimer battle field and then across 20 back west. I want to find out if the battlefield has the same dark air as wounded knee and gettysburg.

Now it's off to work so i can end it early today

I will comment on the adk road suggestions later

The Oriskany Battle or the seige of Ft Stanwix? I'm a descendent of some of the family's that fought in those battles. Flint and Folts

Currently in Lewisburg, PA for my brother's surprise party, but will be heading back tomorrow. Depending on how good time we make (finally got the lady on the back!), we may be able to stop by! I'll check tomorrow before we leave for any details. Hope to see you folks tomorrow.
