Sweet mate thanks.

One of my buddys from work bought this 650 6 months ago and hadn't even ridden it, which is a bit wrong, I'm sure you will agree.

Anyways, talked him into a "get to know it" ride, so he fanged up to the coast and we went from there. I was on a mission to get my gps sorted, and was just keen to do a nice little hinterland day loop. Turned out unreal, found some nice overgrown single track, then hit monsidale rd from western branch. Fuck me the creek was so high in places I probably spent an hour in water up to my waist trying to work out where to cross. Got it sorted in the end with no drownings! Ended up doing the last 2 hours home in the dark with no fuel, but isn't that why we ride?

The first pic shows the effort we put in to find a place we could cross lol

The second pic shows how with enough momentum, one can cross a deep creek lol.

The third pic is all about serenity.

Damn clutch cover.

Well the XRR went for a little slide today out of a corner and as a result the teeth on the brake pedal tip put 2 nice little drain holes into the clutch cover. The million dollar question is, what are the worth in Oz for a genuine one or is there a stringer after market one available? Or does someone make covers to silastic on to them to give them a bit more strength?

Also I thought I bent the footpeg mount as the kick starter now slides against it (that's how I realised I had a problem as when the kick starter didn't return back upright I looked down and saw the puncture holes in the case). After looking at it, it appears the 2 bolts are now loose so hopefully the mount isn't bent. But just in case, what is the right footpeg mount worth? It looks like its made fairly strong, are they known to bend easy?

So at the end of the day the XRR reminded me of our red cattle dogs as it sat in the back of trailer for the trip home.

doug got new covers for cheap from service honda ...ill be placing an order soon so maybe we can combine shipping to save some coin ..or do you know any1 in the states to ship for you ..thats the killer is there shipping cost

to right footpeg is a bit of an Achilles heal on the xrr's .. the stock bolts stretch and work loose and stuff up the frame holes ... you can replace the stock bolts with these

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LOOK-XR65...item4172e8de66

i did this from my nut and bolt shop and haven't had a issue so far but i do check them to make sure there tight

or you can do this
http://www.animalhousedesigns.net/products.htm

or make your own fix same as the 1 above

and yes they have been known to snap but i think there are other factors to cause that to happen

BTW GDay Glenn
