need a crankshaft by Friday...where is it?

I need a complete crankshaft kit, P/N 60030018300, by this Friday. I've tried the first 20 hits from a google search for KTM parts but no one has one in stock. KTM is backordered until June 11.

Anyone know of any place that might have one?

This is for an 07 SER, shipped to MI.

Thanks.

What do you need exactly? I have a used engine in parts here.

I need the crank and con rods. I appreciate the offer but if you are in Holland I don't think that will work. I will be getting on a plane this weekend to return to Brazil and need the parts before that. I would hate to see what an overnighted crank from Holland would cost. Unless your stuff is located in the US?

Whats wrong with the old one...could it be machined for thicker shell bearings...?

I'm not 100% sure. Engine siezed a day before I got on the plane so I had to leave it at a mechanic. According to him it can't be rebuilt. Perhaps it would be better to say that he can't rebuild it. I don't know as I've not laid eyes on it.

The biggest trouble is getting parts into Brazil. I need to carry them in to avoid paying double. Was hoping to find a crank but it's not looking good, no one seems to have it in stock (not surprising).

I know you've paid for a machanic... but might be easier to find a replacement motor....might work out $$$$

might go that way but those are harder to put in a suitcase. Mechanic charges are minimal at the moment so no biggie there. Next trip out/in to the country will be July so if I don't get one by Friday, which is looking bleak, then maybe I will be looking for a new motor.

I'm not sure. Mechanic said "oil filter failed and cause motor to explode". I will have to look at it to make sense of that. There was no water in the oil (checked it 10 minutes before failure). Can't get my mind around how an oil filter could fail to block the oil but maybe seeing it will make sense.

Also don't have 100% faith in this mechanic due to the parts list he gave me that he needed but we'll see.

All this was done when I was out of country.

How did he determine the crank was bad? I had a mechanic tell me the crank pictured below was bad. I don't believe it is.

I think he saw the discoloration, and assumed the bearing surfaces had gotten cooked. But, every time I see a crank in a pic of an engine someone has apart, I see similar discoloration. I think it is from heat treating at the factory.

Just curious: does a brand new one have the discoloration pictured above?
