Day Trips from St Charles, IL?

Hi All;

I'm new to the forum and area.

I'm looking into getting a dual sport, but want to make sure there are places to ride that are accessible without making a weekend of it.

Where do you guys/gals go for a day trip/quick dirt fix? I was thinking not more than 2 hrs out, and preferably open space/non pay trails.

I'd appreciate any leads!

Thanks!
Paul

FVOR is a pay to ride park, that is what he is looking to avoid. Plus, on a true dual sport that place would not be much fun....14 acres of treeline to ride:ymca

Thanks for the replies.

That's disappointing. How far would I have to go to get to dirt? Are there any fire roads/jeep trails in the state that you guys ride?

Where do you guys ride out here? Are they all variants on motocross parks?

Thanks,
Paul

This would make an excellent entry for an FAQ STICKY

Paul 111,

Im in Batavia and am not aware of any "trails" within 2 hours.

There are plenty of class B roads to the west all the way to the Mississippi. Id be happy to share my maps over coffee.

Send me a PM if you want to go ride.

Mike
