SO" We are having two route cards on Sunday as well as Saturday. The first day of national dualsport will be classic Southern Ohio dualsport like we first created. Sunday will be the California style that the God Father of dualsport first started. You have been warned.

Can you give more detail on the "California style". Back in the 70's i was a MXer not enduro so this is a tad konfusing.

trying to get a better handle if I'm going to do this. TO many ride's route cards

Clarification

We have a National Dualsport and a National Adventure ride the weekend of May 18 19. Day one will have a route card for the dualsport riders that will be what some would call a B enduro without checks. Unless you are as good as I "was" you would want an under 600 cc bike with full knobbies. Lots of single track trails with challenging sections in them. Most of the trails are on private property. The Adventure route will be geared towards bigger bikes. They will not have "trails" but will run high clearance roads, gravel and x roads. Lots of green tunnel roads. Not a paved road run and Big fun for any size bike. Saturday ends at the Zaleski Volunteer fire department for the annual bike wash.

Day two has a Dualsport route card that has more of the x roads that used to be used on the "old time" enduros. They were tough stuff with a 3 inch suspension, still fun but easier with 10 inches. The moss covered rocks do not care about how long a suspension you have. We will have single track trails too and knobbies will be needed. Just an overall easier route than the day one dualsport.
The adventure route will be shorter on mileage but lots of dirt roads and all weather roads, if you know what that means. It is fun on any size bike and a lot of folks ride the dualsport on Saurday and the adventure route on Sunday

I am constantly amazed at the fact when you do good you get good back. I helped a friend out and his thank you was more than I would have ever expected. over seven miles of trail for the Dualsport.
AND
I rode the Sunday ADV ride today. I have said no trail and that is true BUT (big but) There are four "road" sections that would make any trail rider smile (or pucker "whatever"). I would ride these all day on my 650L with good tires that favor off road. If you come with road radials or posser tires you better be good (or take the by-pass)

More clarification

A good sturdy adventure tire suitable for gravel roads is a must. If your tire is happy with gravel and you are happy with it fine. Saturday has no "dirt roads" .

Sunday does have "dirt roads". The four dirt road sections have grade elevation changes. The two with the most change are going down hill so you will not get stuck easily, you would have to work at it. yes if you aren't very good you can fall down (your buddies will take pictures and post them).
If it is raining or just rained dirt going up or down gets "muddy" . Southern Ohio mud is slippery. Yes there will be by passes.

so you know

I do have by passes on the route card . I do not want anyone to be in over their head let alone have to pick them up .
