Bucket Boy crossing a slick spot.

Next up was this ragged hill. 4play and Yardstick .

Yardstick conquers the hill.

Refokus getting into position

4play makes short work of the hill with that Terraflex chewing anything in its path.

On the way out BB showed us a small play area. 4play's 600 cc pumpkin with a Terraflex rear knobby likes to displace dirt at a prodigious rate!

Well, that's the last of my pics before my crash. I'd just like to say thank you to my buddies that dragged my broken body off the mtn and got me back to Phx for care. They say you can't choose your family, but you can choose your riding buddies. I couldn't have possibly done better. Thx guys!

Great Ride Report

Yardstick this is an awesome ride report that you started. I was busy all day yesterday moving my father in law to Tucson and finally able to read this. Once Smugmug is back up and running I will post some photos from my vantage point. Stay tuned.........

Ya know, I've been in the Moab Er, great bunch of folks. I actually got the emt that found that goofball that cut off his arm and walked out a few years ago. The er has a marker board that they keep a tally of what trail people were hurt.

Great report though.

thanks

First things first. Slowred, I'm sorry to hear of you being injured again. Weren't you riding with those same folks the last time this happened?!

Second, great ride report. What beautiful scenery you guys got to ride in. Follow the yellow brick road, huh? Or the dotted white line.

moab

Hello I found your report tonight read it all .I lived in moab for a few years I rode some of those trails. I stayed at the bottom of some of them thinking how do they do that!.I camped in some of the canyons. How did you find the slick rock trail without dozens of pedal bike riders complaining about you on their trail. I lived there about 30 years ago .before so many mountain bikes got there.

That maybe he shouldn't be trying to keep up with you! I've tried it before and thought, I'm gonna hurt myself if I keep this up.

Very cool RR. I grabbed another bucket and added Moab to the list.

Sorry about the busted body. Congrats on not just breaking, but shattering bones. 10/10 on the dismount. Heal fast to ride again.

Thx Don. I definitely wasn't pushing hard. I was pretty beat by then and just cruising. Or so I thought. It's a bit spooky not having a flipping clue what did occur. It seemed like just another AZ type rocky two track climbing a mtn.
