Everything worked out fine after a couple of months of rest and exercise, being a non smoker and a sporting person helps, and young. Crazy hospital there in Dubrovnik and its seen some shit go down with the war there and it was shelled for a while to but I think than makes it a good trauma hospital. The girl had a torn liver damaged kidney and a collapsed lung, the old sister in charge gave her a rubber glove with a plastic tube taped in the end and told her to just keep trying to blow it up, that was there million dollar lung repair machine, it worked. After a few weeks we spent our days walking, about 20m the first day, after the first week it was 200 metres but that would take 3 or 4 rest stops to sit in the sun and an hour or more. Stunning coast along there and I plan to go back and ride there on an old 1969 R60/5 I have stashed over in Europe. Thanks for the well wishes.
Cheers Locky.

She made a full recovery, had her yearly full medical for her work about a month ago and everything is clear. She was one lucky girl, one thing it did is make me want to go back there and do some riding around Croatia and that area, nice.

I been working on some new panniers, bit of a cross between my Basic style and my classic style,
My classic panniers were all tig welded.
My basic style were solid riveted.
The new, need a name for these, will be a bit of both and I will now have 3 sizes now not 2 like before.

Small, 450long x 280High x 190Wide about 31lt

Medium 450Long x 380High x 225Wide about 37lt

Large 450Long x 380High x 260Wide about 44lt

All sizes will also have a matching Exhaust size pannier.

Here is what will fit different bikes.

Old v-Strom, 31 + 37lt or 37 + 44lt

new V-Strom 31lt+31lt with cut or 37 + 37 with cut

1190KTM 37lt + 31lt with cut or 44 + 37 with cut

Tenere660 2 x 31 or 2 x 37

Tenere1200 31lt + 31 wit cut or next size ect

BMW GS's normal, whatever size with matching cut pannier. I think most people will work it out.

First sets should be finished next week then there of to the powder coaters.
Price, I am trying to keep these at $1000 for ADV people, powder coated. for a kit, that's pannier frames, panniers and mounting kit. Some of the pannier frames may be in Stainless, there a little more.

Panniers will also have a raised lid matching the bottom and have tie down loops and stainless latches.
Here are a couple of photos of where I am now.

Cheers from the Shed. Locky.
