Sorry Hucker. That was the sale we ran last year. "God willing and the creek don't rise", I'll get the time to code my website so I can run a sale on the older original model. Only obstacle is about 8 hours writing code and implementing it into the Website. Keep watching the thread, because I'll surely announce it.

Best,

Dave R.

Since I live in the land of snow and late springs, I was really happy when the weather finally cooperated and I was finally able to go riding yesterday with the Super Sharkskins on the grips! They are so nice and cushy; my hands were much more relaxed than with the stock grips.

And I was really happy that the heat from the grip heaters came through the SS's; there is a slight delay but not unusually so. Installation was easy; I waited for a fairly warm day, in the 50's, so that the sticky back would adhere well to the grips. Completely worth it and glad to be buying from an inmate.

terraunbound-

First of all. . . . . . .nice job on your forum name. Conjures up an image of you catching some air as you roar over some uneven terrain on your bike!

I believe you have captured some of the high points of why I developed this product. One of my friends said it well the other day in casual conversation when he was describing my grips to someone:

" It is an affordable motorcycle accessory that solves a really big problem."

Thank you for your extremely kind and insightful observations and comments.

Ride safely!

Dave R.

I just received a set of Grip Buudies/Beemer Buddies? last week. This is the sharkskin model apparently. Super easy to install, absolutely perfect thickness, cushion and grip in my opinion. I really love them!!

OK...I have had these SS for long enough to say like I have before...these are the best inexpensive accessory you can buy. I have over 5600 KM's on the new 2013 BMW F800GS and the SS are not showing any wear and tear. They have been through rain, now HEAT, snow, pissing down rain, off road and pavement and both Cheryl and I really can't imagine going back to the skinny stock grips. They do absorb some of the vibrations we get from the Heidenau tires but they are just comfortable.

I have small hands and I took the left grip off the other day, I put it back on and so far seems to have enough adhesive to stay put but (Dave just use rubber cement to put it back securely?) and when I rode with the stock grip exposed versus the right SS it felt too weird and not right.

Took me a little time to get used the new thickness, not at all bad for you guys with big hands but after a few 100 KM's it felt great.

Here are pics from May 5th...

Love this photo, looks cool

You have nothing to lose really by trying the SS out...we installed them day 1 after we brought our bikes home from the dealer.

Thanks Dave! Oh, the customer service is awesome! Oh...and here is my beauty..

Your Bike is awesome. I always appreciate it when I see someone's bike which is obviously used and loved extensively by its owner. Your experience with the SS's is exactly as has been reported now by many other riders. Thank you for your input, and this report. BTW, looks like I may be making the trips up to national on my new C14 in July. Will you and C be there? Might be an excellent time for a Northwest OBB customer appreciation get together . Please advise your intentions with regard to National so we can plan something. Best, Dave R.

We are hoping to make it just depends on Cheryl's new work schedule and if they "allow" her to take off for a few shifts. Will let you know closer to the date.

Got ya. I am planning to make this a trip of a lifetime, and combine pleasure with business. Will talk to you as we get closer.
