East Tennessee riding help

I'll be in the Newmarket, sevierville area visiting my parents in June. I'm bringing my KLR and was wondering where to go off roading in the area. The only place some what, that I know, is the gravel road off of Cade's cove that ends on the dragons tail.

If y'all could provide roads/areas with directions that would be great.

Road riding is hwy 411 from gatlinburg to Cherokee area rides too please.

You were ok in the other thread. :-P. There are great roads down in the park/forest. Most of the county roads have all been paved but there are great twisties.

The East TN Photo Tag Game has some great places in the last few months with some directions to them. If I understood Google Maps/Earth better I'd make a map for you with some great little roads. Until then, here's some individual ones:

This is fun loop to the near east that covers Weaver's Bend, Hurricane Gap, and a trip into Hot Springs:

This map shows Hurricane Gap. The road continues and connects to Lookout Mountain Road, even though that map doesn't show it:

This will take you to Wolf Creek Falls (Follow this route and don't try to come in from the North on a KLR):

Citico, Indian Boundry, and Rafter Roads:

Cherohala Skyway (paved) out then River Road (dirt) back:

Hey Slimak, as Mossey Crk said , we have a ton of great roads in this area. I live in Sevierville and when you get in the area PM me and I'd be glad to take you out on some of our roads. You might check out our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/EastTennesseeAvDriders
and you will get an idea of what type of riding we have.

Looking forward to ALOT of riding. Parsons branch road is a definite ride.

Here is a snap shot of a GPX (or GDP for Garmin) file I have on my area (southern Cherokee Nat'l Forest). All the tracks are of unpaved (gravel) roads (two single tracks) with wavpoints (poi). I don't know how to attach the file(s) to a post, but I'll send a copy via email to anyone that has a GPS and software (mapsource or basecamp) to read and transfere part or all into their GPS. Just PM me.
