OK , Back to Hackin

just got a few goodies in to tidy up a little as the ole YZ suspension just wasn't gonna do it .

I think this will flow much more to the betterist .

Waiting on my bike suspension to get back from being beefed and lowered as the little lady is but a wee lass ......hoping to have it back by next week so I can make some frame adjustments and get the new car suspension mounts and such done , shorten the track and build the car body .

alrighty then , hacked it down to 47" . Not real happy with the add-on strength wise but I guess I'll gusset it or run a length of flatbar down the joints that could be used as the body mount as well ...or something like that .

Going with the KTM PDS and it's lack of linkage does push the height up on the framework and such but finding a used linkage susp was not working out so we'll just run with it .

Chewing on making the shock mount adjustable but am just thinking at this point but gonna try and get it fabbed up this afternoon if work doesn't get in my way .

Very cool. I worked at a place specializing in mini when I first started working on cars. At 6'2 and 250 at the time, they were just too small for my freshly broken back to work on every day. Fun cars though, like a street legal to kart.

I was following your thread, but it seems to have come to a halt.
Have you done anything else? Any more pics?

it's not halted but has been slow going as of late , suspension is sorted out for now till I drag it out for a test ride and the wife made a template of the body and it is being rough fitted by a friend and will be fine tuned by us and hopefully in our hands next week .

Could Long Cane Dual Sport have anything to do with delays?

I just came across this thread looking for the campground you guys are headed to. DAMN dude! When you said Lady R was looking to tote pooches, I was thinking Indian style papoose, not a freakin' hack fit for a pair of Rotties. This thing is amazing.

See y'all tomorrow.

How do you make those? I'm thinking of getting into some welding but not sure what else I'd need to learn and those seem pretty important to having a decent end product.

It sounds like he may be camping. I will try to answer you question and I hope he does not get mad..

The tool that made those pieces, which are left overs, is called a Notcher or Notching tool.
He also used a tubing bender to make the bends on the frame.

You can Google search for info on these. There are many different makes, so do your research as not all are the same..

Great, I'll google Notcher and see what I can find, thanks 0

Here we go, a nice cheap one and I've already got the drill and hole saws.
