Yep. I found a used pair for the driver's pegs. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up.

Would love to find a used set for the passenger pegs now.

1150RT seat recomendations

Yes, yes, I am not with the program - I know, I should be salivating, waiting for the WetHead RT to come on line. I should toss my RT into the nearest ditch.

But: I like my bike!

So, I took my wife for the first longer ride on the RT since I sold my K12LT. The LT was undoubtedly the best bike ever made for pillion comfort. The RT is nowhere close.

However, as I am not in the position to tell my wife "just deal with it!" , what are the pillion seat choices you guys used for an R1150RT?

The biggest problem is that she is sliding down/forward. I'd like to get a somewhat sculpted pillion seat that would be comfortable, while keeping her stuck, not sliding into me.

Suggestions?

Mine came with a Corbin front seat and I found a Corbin backseat on CL. Bon Bon likes it and does say there is quite a difference. Positive difference.

I like my '04 too!

My wife had the same problem with the stock seat. We have a Rick Mayer that she likes a lot.

I loved the PR2 but the 3 is even better especially in the wet - heaps more feel and confidence.

What kind of mileage have you gotten out of your PR3's? I put a set on my RT 4500 mi. ago and, like you, really like the way it handles, just wondering if I'll get the same or better mileage as I got out of the Pirelli's that were on there before.

Cheers

The PR3's go on next Friday when I get back from a quick Moto Tour. I'll be overdue for the 6K service but that was the soonest they could get me in. Can't wait to replace the stock Bridgestones!

Looks great in the photo.

What does the finish look like up close?

How hard was it to do?

How much prep?

WHat material did you use?

Oh man, that gives me an idea. I could have my plastic pieces screen dipped in any camo pattern I like. Predator is my fav. Yes, I'm an Appalachian hillbilly.

The finish is similar to the older system cases.
The application is very easy, simple rattle can. The prep is a wipe down with wax and grease remover.
The great thing about Plasti-dip is if your not happy, you can peel it off.
