Where the rubber goes...

Well, it's not quite as epic as a lot of the extreme videos I see, but I've made a slideshow out of an idea for an eulogy for a rear tire, one I wore down to cords over the last year. With the soundtrack with it, it's epic, in kind of a satirical way. See what you think. The scenes are from the Pacific Northwest, including BC, and also from a trip I made cross-country last year to Quebec.

This how my tire looked after I got home from my trip to the Oregon desert this week. Something didn't sound right when I crossed the Cascades on my way home.

A River Ran Through It - Touring Central Washington's Scablands

A couple of weeks ago, I did a 3 day solo motorcycle/hike/camp trip into the scablands in central Washington. It was fantastic... save for the wind. At times I had to ride so slow that even RV's were passing me out in the flat farmlands. In my hikes, I encountered a rattlesnake that slithered backwards (yes backwards) across my feet into a rocky crack, encountered a black Widow Spider scurring towards my hand and was attacked by a nesting Falcon on the rocky cliffs of Steamboat Rock. Other than that, the trip was incredible and the riding was awesome.

And a new video here: http://youtu.be/h6KmFQf5e8A

As usual, plug in the headphones and sip on a long cool one.

Had the mountain to myself tonight, so shot a quick video on the way home. I hope the video conveys how fun this is.

Not really a pic, but a vid....

Took the long way into work Tuesday. Ran it pretty conservatively since my mother might see it, but what a GREAT way to start a work day!!!
