While Oisin certainly owes no one an explanation, it would be pretty rad. I'd gladly pay something for it or watch the footage on any tv station but to just remove all of the posts and content is going to elicit a pretty brutal fan response.

my initial response was WTF? but, taking time to think about it, it kind of makes sense that he might not be able to tell anyone anything until it is all said and done. he has wiped out his FB pages, etc. so, i hope it is all good news!

YUP...LOL...They would put a team on this thing with all of what he recorded and do insert interviews, whole lot of splice work. Could take a video/sound team a few months. Very expensive to get this stuff ready for TV. I'm positive that is what is going on. I fully expect to see this on the Geographic or Discovery channel in the next year or two.

I myself have not noticed any other video road trips this good. He mention that he had over 30,000 files of this stuff. BY the time a professional team can go through all of that materiel..... and that is how they would approach this with smaller teams working on one section of the trip. This thing would turn into a GEM.

Honestly it's a little bit worrisome. He edited his post to say "dead". I do hope the guy is alright.

Long time lurker, first time poster...perfect place for the first post.

Luckily, I was able to watch his entire series of uploads on YouTube as well. They were fantastic, and there is something really likable about the guy; you just had to know if he was going to make it to the next destination/get his junk fixed/not get stuck. The haunting music in the film keeps on surfacing in the back of my mind - kind of wish I could re-watch some of the episodes.

Would certainly buy his DVD if it is released.

I do sincerely hope that he has made it with these vids - could see him as the next Travel buff on the Travel channel as well as NatGeo, History or Discovery.

Good work, Oisin! Hope all is well for you. (hoping he is reading this thread)

Maybe the guy went off the deep end and did himself in?

My guess is that they were removed due to copyright reasons. Judging by the quality i bet we will see this again in an even more polished package.

On the one hand, I'm pretty disappointed. I really loved the story and the way it was presented.

On the other hand, it inspired me to give video a try myself.

I suppose I'll have to wait to buy the DVD now.

You guys are great!

Morning!
Well I'm truly stunned that anyone even noticed they were gone!

Don't worry I'm still alive....... and no it didn't get picked up for a tv deal.... or anything like that.... all that happened was no one was looking at them when I looked at the analytics.... so there wasn't any point playing to an empty room....

Videos are live - will leave them up.

Wahoo

Oisin and the Video's are back. I have been watching the vids every night for over a month ( I know get a life) . these videos are great, I love the fact that you did not edit out your imperfect moments.
Low and Hold, that's what you get for watching an amateur load of Shate.
absolutely perfect.
Thanks for taking the time to make the video's while you where riding and the time to edit them together now.
