I think the passenger foot peg hanger is hiding the swing arm passing into the frame, and the bolt head at the pivot point has been painted brown.

http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/3790690031.html

2001 MZ Skorpion Traveller, under 2300 original miles, like new condition, totally stock.
Always garaged & meticulously maintained. Includes Hepco Becker hard cases, owner's

ME-Z1 sport tires and a sealed battery. MZ motorcycles were manufactured in Germany
using a Yamaha 5-valve, liquid cooled, 660cc single cylinder engine. Parts are available
at Yamaha dealers. The bike is narrow and weighs 420lbs with a 31" seat height and

Heck I like it, even though McQueen would laugh at it.

Yeah he would. The movie bike was a 650 Triumph tricked out to look sort of like a German WWII BMW, but this bike on CL is trying to look like an Afrika Korps bike, which was definitely not what McQueen was going for in Great Escape. Not to mention is is a Japanese bike, which maybe is more of an Axis Power than a Triumph. At this point my head explodes.

same price & sold maybe a year ago. Also about 3K miles.

Chek bike with a Yamaha Raptor engine.

I had a M Zed a hundred years ago and can't even remember what it was. It was a single cyl. dual sport of some kind and I can remember it had dual ignition systems in case one crapped out. It was around 1969 or so ???

Here's a true Steve McQueen bike:

Awesome Military Green Scooter - $1000 (ABQ)

Runs great, completely cleaned and tuned. One of a kind military-style scooter with 50cal ammunition can and 50ft rope. This is a 2001 Yamaha Vino 50cc, exhaust has been modified and ungoverned. Completely repainted in this slightly different military feel... black stars and satin camouflage finish. Kick starts on first go generally.

This seriously turns heads, so if you want to stay under the radar don't bother.

No need for registering this puppy because it's a 50cc, park where bikes park, ride where bikes ride (or on the main road, it has plenty of power).

Selling for $1,000 OBO

I'd like the Sport or Baghira model

That would be more of a Gen Patton Special

Great bikes, I damn near bought yours last year. I really wanted it. But I made the mistake of doing my taxes before I pulled the trigger. The end result was that the IRS defunded me. I'll never make that mistake ever again.

I assume you looked at it at Fastbecks? I sort of regret selling it but I never rode it. The plate expired in 08 I think. A chick bought it and apparently it developed electrical problems?

Motoradwerks Zschopau (sic). East German makes sense.

I know that KLRs are commonplace in Colorado, but I really like this color. The owner will sell bike separate from the other stuff included.
