We jeeped it. I would go today if I were you, and I really wanted to go. Lawyers have bought it. I can't imagine hey will keep it open. I also found out breaking an axle on a jeep, is like getting a flat tire on a bike. About a 30 minute repair on the trail, everyone carries spares, like we carry tubes. Our group of six broke two yesterday, plus one guy tore his front steering up..

Nice day yesterday.. All the bikes there were 2 strokes, and it appears there is a lot more to the motocross track than I thought. It goes for at least a mile down the valley. I had only seen about a 10th of it..

Yeah, I was planning on easing on in there with my trailer to see what they had for jackets and holy shit, I would have been SOL, but happy with the result had I stayed.

I thought the same thing, so I asked. It was a sponsors vehicle.

Motorrad STL: good service

Just wanted to let everyone know I got some great service from what seem to be some great folks over at Motorrad in St Louis. Fit me in and did some work while I waited and didn't charge me for some other labor I had putting on some panniers.

Anyone riding this weekend???

Hi everyone,

I just moved out to Kirksville, MO, and I'm here for a week or so before I leave to do some military training. I've been cooped up for too long and am dying to get out and go for a ride!!! I keep hearing about the Lake of the Ozarks?

I'd love to ride down and camp a night, so if anyone has any information, I'd really appreciate cluing me in

Hope everyone is having a great week!
Matt

Welcome Matt! Do a google search for SBR 2013 ride and snag the ride route, you'll see it will take you by lake of the ozarks and over early 1900 suspension "swinging" bridges! Ride them while we still have them...

Have a good one!

Hey, Matt, if you're living in Kirksville, and you don't take your bike up to Putnam County, you're doing yourself a disservice. I spent some time bridgehunting up there earlier this year... lots of hills, twisty pavement, and plenty of old mud roads of variable quality.

I live 45 miles east of you; my idea of fun doesn't involve camping (roughing it is going to the Super 8 instead of the Drury) but it does involve riding the old roads whenever I can find them. Unfortunately, as a small business owner, I don't get a lot of time off, so I fit in my riding when I can.

Sunday

I need a Bixby run as I haven't been there since last fall. Most of the guys I ride with did the SBR recently and they are currently doing the SLAP rally in Arkansas. The problem though is that I only know the main drags into the forest as I am -gps so I have no tracks, etc. This will be corrected on Father's Day!
