Honeymoon Bay

Great little place in Honeymoon Bay for a coffee, breakfast or lunch before heading over to Port Renfrew or back to Victoria on the PMR.

I did a nice 100 mile ride through the Cowichan Valley today and had lunch at this place on the way home. Very good soup and sandwich lunch special - the scenery overlooking the docks at Cowichan Bay is worth the price on its own. Maybe I'll hit Honeymoon Bay tomorrow.

If you make it there and go to Port Renfrew try the home made pie at the Coastal Kitchen Cafe.

I was there last week for a late breakfast - great day for a ride. I always go for their 'Southwestern Omelet". I met the couple that own the place - he's from my home town (Port Alberni) and she was from Bamfield and we have common acquaintences. That is definitely the place to go when in Renfrew. I'll have to try their lunch menu someday.

Stopped there for a few weeks ago while driving to Renfrew. Coffee was great and while I didn't have any, the baked goods looked very tempting.

Went for breakfast in Kelowna the other day and found out that the Hungry Hound is no longer operating, too bad the food was OK. Ended up going to the Cafe Soleil on Bernard Avenue. The food, atmosphere and service were good. http://kelownacafesoleil.com/

I had Green eggs and ham at a place in Kamloops called "Hello Toast". Sorry, no pics, but the food was great, and the coffee was good too! I'd go back again!

Hello Toast is a Sunday morning ride destination for the missus and me quite often. Everything I've eaten there has been great!

Finally made it here. A real unique way of ordering your burger. Food was good, atmosphere is the sidewalk. Starbucks close by.

Doug's Homestead - West Hedley

Doug's Homestead located in West Hedley near Stemwinder Provincial Park has some great beef jerky. Get there before 11 am because it sells out fast.

Mineshaft Pub in Bralorne

After doing the Hurley we stopped in at the Mineshaft Pub in Bralorne, probably the best burger I've had in a while, very surprising considering where we were.
