Vee off road is fun once you get comfortable with it Vic. I rode the first half of the BW/Conecah Route on mine. There were a couple. "Oh shit" moments when I hit soft sand, but when the dirt became hard packed (like in Alabama) it was was fun!

It's no dirtbike, but its nice to know you can comfortably ride hundreds of miles and find yourself on a dirt road to ride with confidence.

I think the 650 Wees are a little easier on the dirt than our Vees though.

Nope, Pretty much exactly the same. In fact the Vee may have been a little easier to ride offroad because I had a lot less money in it, and the bike already had scratches on it

Inept said he didn't care for my 650 with street tires/pressure off road, and it is not a real planted feel in that config to be sure. With 705's and reasonable pressure the Vee was a breeze at 50-60 on maintained dirt roads. In the rougher stuff it is capable, but requires more on the riders part to keep things in check. Eloy has no problems on the Vee he got from me in some stuff that gives mucho pucker factor to ordinary riders.

Hey guys, took the 12GS over to PCB for Thunder Beach the other weekend. I was accelerating out of a parking lot (hard) and got pulled over and given a "wheelie" ticket... If the front end came up it wasn't more than a couple inches. 1160 dollars, there's no way they have it on video and I was wondering if anyone had received one of these? I am taking it to court 100% The question is should I get a lawyer? Any ideas would be appreciated

I've heard rumors about these thousand-dollar wheelie tickets, but you're the first person I know of that has actually received one. If what you were doing looked like this right here, I'd prolly just pay up and figure it as an expensive lesson learned:

If however what you did looked more like this (and it sounds like it did)...

...well I'd lawyer up and fight it like a champ.

It was definitely more like the kid on the Honda Rebel in the pic I'm just afraid to walk in there without a lawyer and get stuck paying it without recourse. But not real keen on paying a lawyer 500+ dollars, I'll call a few local ones and get a consensus.
