Sorry, is not a Super T but I need to tell you.
This morning I ride a FJR 1300…. What a bike… this engine is awesome. I was in 5th gear from 20 to 200km/h. Awesome!! Smooth, powerful, nice sound… it has all.

Ideal for Super Ténéré sized

Then I took the ST and was like a tractor.

Used to thing that lil' Red Fireball was a pain to get back on its pins...not any more! Still miss her.
I could swear I felt back pain and heard the insects buzzing around my head as I read your post. Twas a year ago that I did something very similar, but somehow got turned around w/o dropping her.

Knobbies, skid plate and crash bars for an FJR? Hmmmm!

. I've had two FJRs. I stopped riding it after the Tenere. Now with new refash I don't miss them as much.

Yep, am now considering the timing when I will least miss not having the S10 for a couple of weeks.

I agree.. best of both worlds.. the FJR in sport mode is a rocket.. I enjoy both bikes equally...

OK, I just gotta' ask... What's the story on the left mirror on the FJR?

Is it me, an optical illusion, or is that thing *HUGE*???

Dallara already asked about the mirror on the FJR, I'm curious too and I don't think its an optical illusion :)

What I ask is how may LED lights do you have on the Tenere?
Can you post a picture from the front with all the lights on?
Thanks

Will probably send it in once it gets really hot, that time of year it's cooler commuting on the Djebel.

The FJR has OEM handguards that mount around the stock mirrors. I was trying one out to see if it's worth putting on. (Yamaha was offering $500 in free accessories as a promo). The FJR has Whelen SuperLEDs connected to a SkeneDesign controller and act as conspicuity lights and turn signals. Also mounted are MondoMotos.com 's MM10 LED driving lights.

S10: I have 2 sets of Skene Design Photon Blasters. The upper ones also act as LED turn signals. Handguars have a strip of amber LED's as well. I don't have a pic with the lights on, but will try to take one soon.

Edit: here's the pic:
