Hi all,

I'm still waiting on the orange carbon/kevlar (should hopefully get here this week!) but have just trimmed and finished the 3rd set of the regular guards and have laid up the 4th.

Cheers,
Michael

Hello. I would love a set with the petcock protection integrated in. I am sure others would also. Please chime in if you do. Also, Do these fit an 06' model without mods? I would like for a plug and play install. Thanks!

Hi,
Yes they should fit the 06 model without modification.

I'll get onto the petcock protection, a couple of people have asked already. Would someone please post up or send me a pic of the petcock area with a ruler or tape measure in it, I need a bit of a reference.

Cheers,
Michael

I'm at gosford and my 03 adv is off the road at the moment, if you want to borrow parts to measure, make molds, etc, send me a p.m. I go up to Newie every few weeks.

All,

I've just updated the first post with some instructions on how to attach the guards, if you need more info please let me know.

Quote:
Depending on how permanently you want to attach them you can either use strong double sided tape or a polyurethane based adhesive like Sikaflex 227 or similar. You can run the tape or a bead of adhesive around the perimeter of the guards and a cross through the centre.
Cheers,
Michael

Hi All,

I've made the first set from the hybrid fabric, they turned out a little darker than I had thought. These ones still need to be trimed and have the glossy clear coat applied;
