Looks like a great time. I rode an older GRGR track last year with two others and we had a blast (but no shirts or stickers so count yourselves lucky ). I wish I could have made it this year but a fall ride next year sounds great and I will keep an eye out for a Jackson County ride (where ever that is).

GRGR 13 Pics

http://biosci.smugmug.com/photos/swf...lbumKey=rBsG2B

Above is a link to my Smugmug picture file. (I believe eight of them are from another rider, saved to show wife).

Had a fantastic time. Riding with a group is a great learning experience.

Ron & Craig: Thanks for all the dedication making this ride happen.

Thanks for posting up those pics, everyone! Though, they really are making me wish I would have made it.

And I really wish I would have made the trials event, too. This pic?

That's my uncle, Homer - I'm 99% sure. I grew up learning to ride dirtbikes on his land. He's 40 years my senior and a far better off roader than I am! Do you have any idea how humbling it is to be 30 and watch a guy pushing 70 clear a technical section that you won't even try? I do!

Looks like Homer to me. Here he is riding at my place.

We are certainly talking about the same Homer. That pic is definitely him. I grew up 1 mile straight north of where he lives now. I spent my formative years riding my dirt bike down to his place so I could go riding with his son, Duane. I haven't talked to him in a few years, though. He sure would have been surprised to see me show up on my KTM!

If your uncle is the same guy that 2whlrcr has the pic of, I think it is the same guy. He was good. They all were...very good. The young kid with no helmet or other gear in Biosci's pics was ridiculous. He balanced one of the other guys bikes, stopped, not moving, for about 1 minute, while going from standing to sitting, to standing again while waiting for a guy to finish a stage.

Thanks Rob and Craig for planning this ride. I had a great time. That area would be even more awesome the second weekend in October. Count me in for a fall ride next time, and will be looking for the Jackson county ride planning.
I had to bail out on Saturday night to catch my sons' tournament games on Sunday, which put me over 300 miles for the day. Mapped gravels all the way home and found this:
