Sorry dude, I never think to grab the phone to take pics on the trail.

But I did.....these are from 5/14 when my "job" for the day was to ride up the mountain to Grant Grove in Kings Canyon to look at a crashed 2012 Tacoma for the Park Service.

Just another day at the office

Redwood mountain grove is the largest grove of giants, it has 2100 trees with a girth of over ten feet. Converse basin had more giant trees but it was logged in the 1870's.....

Check out the fire scar on this double tree, you can walk right through...







Eshom valley looking toward Big Baldy, Eshom is a magical place.

Well that was a great day at work, when I got back to the shop it was time to do some much needed maintaince on the bike, oil change, replace shift lever to the upgraded type, adjust valves etc....
Gotta get ready to go riding the coming weekend with Rob and the BRAAAAAAAP! crew.

The lever looked good but I replaced it anyhow.

Reinstall the tank and seat and pack up, then it's off to the Green hill.

The LEO's actual bothering you guys? Is it Sheriffs, BLM, Rangers, CHP?

BLM Rangers. We had four of them in our site for almost 90 minutes on Friday. I had lost (broken) my rear fender a while back and had to get a new license plate which I was just carrying in my backpack due to my new fender not coming in on time. They saw us ride by at the heads on Keyesville and then followed us back to camp. One of them was undergoing training by his superior so they were on edge and acting like dicks. After about an hour or so of thta they calmed down and gained a sense of humor and went on their way.

As an added comment, might I just say if you've bought a bike from TT in the past, be sure that all of your VIN #'s match your registration.

Here's some more footage shot by Ralphy from our ride this past weekend. This is some of the funnest parts of riding up there. Not technical, but fun as shit! Just watch your handlebars

It was early to bed Saturday night, Sunday morning we were down to four riders, Burmshot and Ralphy199 (great to meet you guys!) went home and theGrinch and Orangebeast were out due to injury and sickness, bummer guys....hope you are feeling better.



We tried several ways up the mountain to the ridge but HT was the only one who could get it done(f'n bastard!), so we worked our way via cow trails and jeep roads to the ridge, great trails, HAPPYTRAILSINC led the way with (Kap) the cow trail criminal, NMBMN & me at sweep.....

We ended up here both days for lunch and beers....

This one was a lot harder and HT made it up both of them on that 250. Looks like I made it only halfway.

Trophy tree is a myth

I seem to remember those hills- Hog Eye The second hill is harder and has multiple climbs to it. It used to be a lot harder when it was all rutted up.

I thought that was the new "squid filter". Make it or go home.
