Is anybody considering riding over to St Augustine for the "Riding into History" meet. Its a class event. It was pretty cool to check out the two times I've been.

I may head over in the AM. If I dont, I'll be looking to get the bike out for something, anyway. Anybody out there?

You GNV area guys have enough action now it seems like you should re-title this thread The Hogtown Area Riders Thread or some such. Keeps all the GNV-area stuff in one place

Lol. Want to try for something tomorrow Adam? Smonke expressed interest. I am going to check out that place down wachahoota road in an hour or so also

Well that was a bust. Turned out to be Barr Hammock. They had a gate for bicycles and hikers but was a maze to keep longer wheel based motorcycles and atvs out.

Hi. New to this place, Gainesville rider here. BTW i don't just ride the TW, I got a wr250r also. Thanks for posting these links in here, I had a lot of fun checking some of these places out.

I have been wanting to ride the dixie mainline loop for a while. Maybe we could get a group together sometime... Has anybody in here done it, and have an opinion whether its worth the ride?

Welcome aboard. I've never heard of the Dixie pipeline. I would be willing to try it sometime. Going camping this weekend but if not I should be putting around some.

Nope. Thought I did but half way to Ginnie she started revving super high.
Weird, starts off great then spazzes once warm.
Ive got the carb cooking so hopefully a good cleaning does the trick.

Dixie Mainline Road

FYI the Dixie Mainline road is cool, but don't drive around any of the gates in the Suwanee Refuge or you could wind up with a $125 federal citation like me.

You have a map of this road?

She seems to be running better, but tomorrow I'll know for sure.

This is my favorite map of the refuge. As warned before, follow the rules on the refuge. The feds don't mess around.

And as someone who rides and hunts out there, be mindful that people use it for other purposes. If it's hunting season keep your rides to the middle of the day or ride somewhere else. People wait all year for a few days to hunt so be mindful.

That sucks about the ticket. Makes me think about my riding places. I know 99% of them are off limits but if differs from being a nature sanctuary (mtn bike trails) to private property (owned by corporations, not individuals). How are the roads on the mainline? Sandy? straight and boring? Curvy and hard pack i hope :)

Zane: I live within throwing distance of where you work and have weird work schedules. Hit me up anytime if you want to ride for an hour or so after work. Most my stomping grounds are within miles of there.
