Thermometer for outside temprature not working

Hello,

My thermometer for the outside temp seems to be broken, it says -30c at all times. Does anyone know which sensor to replace and where it is? Or might it be a cable? All i have found during my search is the ambient air sensor, but that one does not feel like the right one?

Edit: I have a 2009 990 R

Thanks in advance.

Somewhere on Orange Crush there was a picture of the sensor you're after, but I can't readily find it. On my std ADV (2011) it is a black rubberised tube approx 5mm diameter and 20 mm long, with a cable out its back end.

The part you're looking for is 61111018000 "temperature sensor". See http://sparepartsfinder.ktm.com/Page.aspx?catalog_page=%7b%22Model%22%3a%7b%22Item Number%22%3a%22+9803I5%22%2c%22EngineNo%22%3a%2208 9825I%22%2c%22ModelName%22%3a%22990+ADVENTURE+ORAN GE+ABS%22%2c%22Variant%22%3a%22EU%22%2c%22DisplayN ame%22%3a%22990+ADVENTURE+ORANGE+ABS+(EU)%22%2c%22 IconTyp%22%3a%221%22%2c%22ModelYear%22%3a%222009%2 2%2c%22CustomerName%22%3anull%7d%2c%22CatalogPageN umber%22%3a%22C096011110%22%2c%22ConstructionUnit% 22%3a%2211%22%2c%22CatalogPageName%22%3a%22WIRING+ HARNESS%22%2c%22ImageSrc%22%3anull%2c%22ItemType%2 2%3a1%7d

On my ADV the sensor itself is right by the lower fork triple clamp (if I recall it's zip tied to the front wheel ABS sensor cable and front brake lines which both run down that way). Your R version may be different.

It must connect somewhere behind the headlight.
