Two full days of challenging roadbook navigation in the high deserts around Reno, Nevada. This is not a race, but a great way to sample rally navigation for new and experienced rally riders.

Purposely vague screen shot of Saturday route - around 190 miles (pending pre-run and other weird stuff)
Sunday is a northern loop, slightly shorter.

Gas range is about 140 miles.

Ride is based out of:
Double Diamond Athletic Club
9400 Double Diamond Pkwy.
Reno, NV 89521
Recommended hotel:
Hilton Garden Inn Reno
9920 Double R Boulevard
Reno, NV 89521
(775) 850-9700
If you are interested in joining us, contact mike@rallynavigator.com to hold your spot.

Cost is $75 for two days of roll charts, 2 lunches and a Saturday dinner. Not trying to make a buck - just have some fun with a group of like minded individuals.

Event will be supported by Rally Management Services who will be offering a full Rally Navigation School. Contact Dave Peckham for more info.

Hope to see you in Reno!

What navigation equipment do you need to ride? This stuff....

Inmates:

I had a couple of questions regarding necessary gear - we are using WIDE format roadbooks produced by Rally Navigator (which is totally freaking amazing!!! ) to make the routes.

You will need a wide format roadbook holder (preferrably motorized), an adjustable odometer and a compass of some sort (usually a GPS unit set to display Heading)

Here is my basic and very functional setup:

More info: How to Ride a Route Using a Roadbook

Dave at Rally Management Services is always a good resource if you need gear or advice.

Super cool Mike!!! I'm REALLY looking forward to it.

I cheated and mapped that right side figure 8 loop, and found this super cool switchback. GREAT stuff!!!

In. I made a northern ~55 miles from estates to Herlong on the website. Turns out my first roadbook was good and so was my navigating.

IN!!!!!!
