Looking for tracks: Cimarron, NM to Antonito, Co.

Riding big DS bikes, a couple of KTM 990's and a Yammie S10, loaded with camping gear and such.

Planning a trip out west in a bit. Got most of it figured out, except one leg.

Will be coming into Cimarron, NM from the east and want to end up in Antonito, Co. Then west and north up the Canejos River and by Plutora Res.

I know the route if I do all pavement, but I'd like tracks that go the back roads and Nat Forest roads. Don't care if it takes all day or more. But it does need to be doable on a large DS bike.

Anyone got any tracks from Cimarron NM to Antonito CO or anywhere west on Hwy 17??

thanks

Do you mean CDR tracks?

I also have an optional track for NM that is closer to the actual divide. See GPSXchange.com

It is not the bike, it is the rider.

In that case yes it will fit. Any trail is doable on any bike if it fits and the rider knows how to ride it.

I have several friends who ride their 990s on trails I take my 230 on. I am a very old expert, they are youing super experts. Back in the day we took Triumph 650s anywhere because we had to.

On my Mex2Can.com ride, my partner's son rode his 990 with his wife on the back and other riders were almost in over their heads on 450s. Like I said it is not the bike it is the rider.
