Going to Italy

Hi,

Was hoping to get some input on traveling in Italy. My soon to be wife and I are in the initial planning stages now. We bought the tickets. Going from April 25 to May 17. Flying in and out of Rome. Looking at spending half the time in Northern Italy and Half in Southern Italy. Right now looking at renting a bike and heading north them coming back south.

Would like to find a town in both the north and the south where we can rent a place for a week and do day trips out of then go south and do the same thing. We want to experience the off the beaten path Italy we both enjoy good food and wine, get some good riding in. Just generally experience what the country has to offer.

Looking for advice and suggestions for the trip. In the past the Advrider community has proven to be an excellent resouce for travel planning and trip prep.

Thanks in advance

Paul
