differences btw 2011-990r and 2012 990

I'm looking at both are there any major upgrades between a
2011 990r
And
2012 990

So the 2012 is a 2011 990r with less ground clearance/ suspension travel?

yes, and with ABS

Yes, but the OP wanted to know the diff between a 2011 990R and a 2012 990, not a 2012 990R.
