Front tire choice?

[/QUOTE]

Karoo 2 (??) on the front w/ a Tractionator rear?

Ever tried this front tire? I've had great luck with it... holds it own on pavement but stiff sidewall and good bite for all-around off road.

Great bike. Wish I was packed up and heading out too! Have fun!

Could you please comment on the handling? Both low and high speed.
Handling my SE with SM wheels is totally different; in low speeds steering is so much quicker and more nimble thanks to agressive steering angle. But it goes straight ahead very well; yesterday I was having fun with my friend on narrow tarmacroads and on a long direct part of that road speedo showed for a moment 207km/h and GPS trapped 199km/h and it still felt like it was pulling some more speed .
SO; it handles well .

front is a kenda big block. left over from when i bought a bunch for my now (not)dearly departed f800gs. correct on the rear. giving it a whirl - everyone i've talked to says it's a good choice and cheaper than the 908rr which i prefer. just so damned expensive and i end up always taking them off when they have 1/3 of their life left but don't want a used tire on the upcoming trip (see 908rr in picture - still plenty of life left on that!).

i run the xcmh (front & back) on my berg 570 but never tried the rally. i'll consider it next time i need to swap out the sneaker in front - except i still have a second kenda to mount when this one goes. i figure that's probably about 3 rears to go before that happens...damn thing eats tires!

Thanks, all the pics are Northern BC or the Yukon and the glacier is the Salmon Glacier in Northwestern BC. Where it comes out of the mountain it splits and goes to the left or to the right where you can see behind the bike and the right side is the small half! We got right down to where it was calving, pretty cool indeed. There's pretty good satellite pics on Google.
