How would he go with range for that event, can't remember the distance involved but with that tank he'd have extra fuel stops?

These I made in a hurry in one day, and they look like it! But they worked well so, here comes mark II

Went back to the basic design

see what happens,

Getting around the kickstart & dipstick is a pain, thought about going higher but ran into other issues,
Cheers

You need a DT for the rough stuff, Bazz.

Now why would ya waste a perfectly good DT by putting a 650 motor in it?

Put it in an XT instead

Or if you're really keen try this weapon out!
Cheers

XT 650

Mmm, I've ridden one of those that was built in WA. Was thinking of buying but the test ride was enough.

Centre of gravity move up too high? Extra weight & changed handling ?

Progress photos on 'Kenny's new exhaust system

Takes bloody ages with all the cuts & tucks

Tucked the headers in a bit closer to the barrels

Just under the rack

reminds me of the old exhaust systems on '60s & '70s 'choppers' of that era!!!

wanted to get this just right & tight for pannier mounts [next stage]
along with a solo seat based on the front half of a 'Special' model
Cheers

G'day Gordy, long time no see, was just trying to remember what sort of mileage we used to get out of the older two strokes back when? Had a DT175 back in the '70s, & it had pretty small tank on it but I don't remember carrying extra fuel on any trips!
You coming down to the DR Muster @ Tuena this weekend?
Be some good people down there
Cheers
