Toolset for a 2005 1150 GSA

Guys,

I'm planning a trip, and I want to take some tools with me (you never know)
Can you give me some advice on what to take and what not to take.
I' talking about spanners, pliers,... no tubes, tyres or spare fuses.

Cheers!

Do you have the kit that came with the GSA? My '02 GSA tool roll has quite a collection of tools, if I can't fix it with whats in there I would probably be looking for a mechanic.

If not I would suggest the tools you would need to take off both wheels, brakes and fuel tank. A metric socket set, metric allen, torx and screw drivers. Vise grips and pliers always come in handy.

JVB has a good write up on tools-

If you don't have the stock toolkit for the bike, I'd make sure you have similar tools at a minimum:

Jim's page on a toolkit for the 1200 is pretty close for the 1150 for extras:

There are a few things you won't need off that list, so you can just go for the basics. Up to you on pump, flat repair, small voltmeter, etc. I'd carry them on a long trip, along with some minimum spares (sight glass, fuses, etc).
