Reckon it's in the owners manual...not trying to be a smart ass....if you don't have a OM there may be something you could download online perhaps?

No dice. Manual doesn't state what is involved doing the first service.

How did you get a 2013 GSW without an owner's manual? Did you not purchase it from a dealership?

Test rode a 2013 R1200GS-Adventure in red. Bought a 2013 R1200GS-Adventure 90 Year Anniversary edition. Made an appointment for a service for my 2003 R1150GS-Adventure. I'll ride the 1150 in, drop it off for the service and ride the 1200 home on Friday. Let the farkleization begin

Awesome! I love the color scheme on the 90 year version... Check out my sig for my '12 3Black GS Adventure build thread. Maybe you'll get some ideas or give me some more...

Correction. Owners manual was in one of the panniers.

Reinstalled the adventure winglets, what a PITA!.

Then discovered a rusty, mangled contractor's screw sticking out of the rear tire. My plug kit didn't do the trick, so I took it to Rapid Performance for a $40 patch-n-plug.

Did a full service on my 2005 1200GS at 30 000 miles. Changed oil filter, 4 new spark plugs, air filter and all the fluids. Changed the rear brake pads and put a fresh set of Anakee 3 on.

I decided to wash the bike while I had her stripped down. Looks brand new again!
