Aside from the bald front tire, it looks like even though he has his ass off to the inside, his shoulders look like they are outside. Maybe it is the perspective, but even in the frame prior it looks like he is got his shoulders outside and a pretty good arm bend to his right arm. At least his helmet rooster thingy survived intact.

I can't imagine riding with that front tire.

Good recovery from the tumble. Interesting how many people rushed to 'help'. Funny that they were waving others to slow down when this guy was completely off the road

No shit! WTF was that guy thinking? I would be nervous just having the bike PARKED on that front tire!

It happened to be VERY foggy at lower altitudes and very slippy so I had to be a bit careful on the Speed Triple as to not emulate all of these crashers but the view from the top of the mountain was simply breathtaking.

A friend of mine, against my advice, just bought a Suzuki RF900R for his first bike, and it came with a bald front tire. Three different people beside me have told him not to ride it like that. He insists there is rubber left, citing that he runs his car tires until steel shows. He's taking a 4 hour ride out of town this week in 95 degree heat.

Oh, and he doesn't like full face helmets, jackets, or gloves.

Does anybody know what the visiting hours are at the hospital?

You need to slash his front tire.

Seriously.

I've gone through there on knobbies at a pretty good clip and never threw it away

And Leno is a very approachable guy, loves to chat about gearhead stuff, but the second someone brings up a Hollywood related topic he politely excuses himself and splits. I was standing at the Rock Store one day when he pulls up in something akin to an Ariel Atom, and helped back him into a spot next to my bike. He gets out, says thank you and before I could even say anything some tourists came running, and I'm not kidding, these people were tripping over their dicks trying to get to him. He smiled and let them take a couple of pictures and promptly split. Can't blame the guy, it must get old.

Meet me in CSM. I want to learn about what other astute decisions your friend is making in his life.

Not a bad idea. I could jab the sidewall with an ice pick, and just happen to be driving my pickup with ramp and ratchet straps in the back to give him a lift home. An underhanded move for sure, but one that might save his life.

I looked in my garage for an old take-off, but I must have let them dispose of it when I got new tires.

I think I will just find him a used tire that isn't bad, and give it to him.

yeah, I cant blame him either. I have had a few chances to chat with him about stuff and he loves to BS about car and bike stuff.

Ive seen him at Laguna Seca a few times during the historical races and I yelled out at him "Hey, Ill see you at the rock store next sunday"

Watch the recent video where the guy in the Nissan stinks it up, even without the benefit of a nice target to fixate on.
